On December 6, 2019, the second World Eco-Design Conference opened in Conghua, Guangzhou. At the opening ceremony, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization released the first batch of case cities of "Capital of Customization", among which, Guangzhou won the title of“Capital of Customization”after demonstrating its customization with customized exhibitions at the Eco-Design Conference to guests from all over the world.

The Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has launched the selection of demonstration platforms of “Capital of Customization”, so as to implement the "Guangzhou's Three-Year Plan for Promoting the Development of Mass Customization Industry and Building a ‘Capital of Customization’ (2020-2022)", summarize and share experience and achievements in mass customization, create a good atmosphere for exchanges and mutual-learning, and promote high-quality development of manufacturing industry and improve the quantity and quality of consumption after the epidemic.
